What does it solve?
Massage therapy is a well-known method for improving both your physical state and state of mind. Often referred to as “bodywork” or “somatic therapy,” massage therapy is recognized as one of the oldest methods of healing. Massage therapists positively affect the health and well-being of their patients through techniques benefiting the body’s musculoskeletal, circulatory-lymphatic, nervous and other systems. Our professional massage therapists concentrate on the muscular structure and soft tissues of the body through combinations of fixed or movable pressure, kneading and compression using their hands, forearms and elbows.
Therapeutic massage are massage treatments tailored for specific musculo-skeletal conditions, typically diagnosed by doctors and referred to our massage team. Our team of therapists are covered by multiple-area insurance plans. Please call us today about your referral and insurance coverage. For those not covered by insurance, please call regarding our time of service, cash discounts or referral to our in-house day spa (the WellSkin Clinic).
Melissa Miller graduated from Renton Technical College’s Massage Therapy program in 2004 and has been practicing massage ever since. Her experience has been working with people who have been injured on-the-job, in automobile accidents, and with people who have repetitive strain injuries (such as people who sit at a desk all day, cyclists and runners). Her touch tends to be deep and specific, however, she caters her approach to each individual’s particular needs. In July 2014 Melissa will have her Intra-Oral Certification. She currently has her Trigger Point Certification and Upper and Lower Body Certification in Active Release Techniques (ART).
