Fried Eel & Atmosphere at Wain Wain
This is, as my friends says, a secret spot, a hole in the wall at the top, literally, of a 40 something story building in Beijing city. Floor to ceiling glass, dizzying views, yet very casual, Japanese bar & resturant. I loathe heights yet I work my way close to the small table and settling in for a feast and impressive views of traffic and walls of high rises. Melon juice, eel soup, duck liver, salmon salad, French fries, and a few other things, way too much to consume not to mention out of my usual more simple food choices.
Oh and don’t forget the ginkgo nuts, tasty and perhaps a little good for my brain. See you in Shenzhen.
